What is Mediumship?
Mediumship is the process of a living person receiving information from the spirit world. This process can take place in many different areas of life. People who are Professional Mediums receive messages directly from the spirit world for the people they are reading, however, this process can also work for writers, artists, lawyers, doctors, and so on. There are several examples in the bible of prophets receiving messages from God, and various saints. In ancient Greece and Ancient, Rome people believed that your creative ideas and inspirations came from the spirit world. That if you were creating something your creation would be attended divinely by a spiritual source. The Greeks called these divine attendant spirits Daemons. Socrates believed that he had a Daemon who spoke wisdom to him as he created his work. The Romans had a similar notion about this disembodied spirit; they called it a Genius. They believed that this was a magical divine entity that lived in the walls of a creator's studio, and would come out to, invisibly, assist the artist as he/she worked.
Have you ever had that sudden urge to create something or write something down?
That is your mediumship in action! You have probably been using your mediumship your whole life without even knowing it!
That sudden urge to write something down or create something is actually the guidance of your spirit family working to help you stay on track. You know the difference between your brain working, and spiritual guidance because the spiritual guidance comes in very suddenly. Our brains tend to be slower at work. We start with an idea and then compile information based on what we already know. The brain tends to draw conclusions based on past experiences until it comes to a final conclusion all it's own. A process that is very long and drawn out, like a math equation. If the idea, feeling, or knowing comes to you, very quickly, out of nowhere, it's most likely from the spirit world!
